My son's fire HD 10 in my eyes was a bad purchase by me, had it since November 2022 and he finds it very laggy, games crash often and just not very snappy.

I'm looking at replacing it, and seem to be a lot of options, ones I've found so far:
Lenovo M10
Lenovo P11 plus
Samsung S6 lite
Samsung A7/8

All seem fairly similar for the price I'm willing to pay (second hand eBay).

Dose anyone have better options or suggestions I may be missing or should look into?

He uses his tablet mainly for watching YouTube, and playing mobile games (Jurassic world mobile etc) and Roblox now and then (has a computer for that).

I got mine the 4GB A8 and it's been awesome so far, such a step up from the fire hd and so much easier to manage his apps. He has no problems using it for Roblox.

This fire tablets are crap imo.

I got recommended the fire table on these forums. So I got one and it's be absolutely spot on for 2 years this Christmas. Roblox runs fine on it to. I've side loaded the play store as well.

Maybe a reset might sort it out?

I bought an S6 Lite (2022) last week and in general I've been happy with it with the following 3 observations:

It does stutter occasionally when opening apps but not serious enough to put me off. This might disappear once it learns my usage pattern. I am also comparing it to my S6 which has a lot better CPU;

There's a lot of light bleed on the bottom of the screen which can be annoying especially reading white text on a black background as the black background becomes greyish up to an inch from the bottom of the screen. On lighter backgrounds it's less noticeable. Reading user reviews suggests this is a common complaint;

Daily Auto Optimise can no longer be turned off although you can stop it rebooting. However when you do reboot manually it can take a couple of minutes to reboot as it goes through the optimisation routine. This is a new feature of Android 13 OneUI 5. I don't like this feature as you can't disable it even using ADB.
