So you're looking at £4000 all in, and presumably this is a gaming build or do you do any work related tasks?

The 9800X3D is ample for gaming, it's extremely rare more than 8 cores are used so the 9950X3D should only be considered if you do niche or productivity workloads that benefit from core/thread count, otherwise it's a needless expense. That and frankly, at 4K the CPU plays less of a part, it can still be important in some titles and obviously there's a limit to how low you can go but the higher the resolution the more the GPU handles things.

- Gen 5 NvME's offer nothing over Gen 4 for gaming, again it becomes a needless expense you'll never notice the difference with.

- A B850 is ample, and for the 9800X3D the motherboard suggested will be absolutely fine even under higher workloads, gaming does not count as a high workload. The only thing you lose over an X870 is USB4, if you have a legitimate use for that you're the first person I've ever met that does.

- 32GB of RAM is plenty unless you're hugely into mods or play one or two niche titles, but there's no harm in forking up a little more to bump to 48-64GB of RAM. Don't get hung up on C30 latency either, the X3D CPU's don't care too much so it yet again becomes a needless expense.

- AiO is not necessary unless you're looking for aesthetics, but you can get very good ones from Thermalright for £50 or Arctic in the form of the Freezer III for £80-100.

Form factor is M-ATX as that's my personal preference, but you could build a midi-tower for roughly the same money. What I've suggested will perform identically in 99% of games vs the bundle you linked above, spending more (especially for a silly brand like 8Pack) is equivalent to flushing your money down the bog tbh.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £2,985.78 (includes delivery: £11.98)
