I'm going to sell the graphics card on eBay next month and then spend more to get a faster card.

Where can I get the cheapest 7600 gt?

Its against the rules of the forum to divulge such information.
A 7600 GT is not much of an upgrade either from the card you already have.

A 7900 GT would be better.

I'd agree with easyrider, a 7900gt or X1800XT would be about the level of card to be aiming for if you want to see a worthwhile performance improvement. You might be able to find a 7800gt reasonably cheap since they have been superceded, if say £150 or less then I'd consider it otherwise save up that bit more and get one of the mentioned cards :)

I would have thought a Overclocked (out of the box) 7600GT would be quite a considerable upgrade from a 6800XT (this being the one that only a smidge faster than a 6600GT).

However if you can stretch that budget either the X1800XT 256mb or the 7900GT Are both excellent cards.

not enough though to warrant an upgrade IMO.For just a bit more he can much much faster performance.

Or if you can't stretch you can pick up a 7800GT or GTX for ~130-160... which would be much better than a 7600GT...

Otherwise save a few more coins and go for a 7900GT...

When you can pickup an Sapphire ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB for £187.94 Including VAT - i would save up a bit more as this would be an awesome upgrade for only a bit more cash.

at 190 the clear winner is the 7900 GT.
It will overclock to GTX speeds leaving the x1800 behind.

The x1800 just does not clock as good as a 7900 GT.
So if overclocking get the GT instead.

I just bought a ASUS EN7600GT (Dual DVI and also has a S-VHS with a component adaptor) - about £110

This allegedly comes with the ability to output HD too with that new style copy protection system that's going about (Don't ask me which one!)

but if the rest of this thread is anything to go by then you won't be getting a 7600 anyway!

Although I may be correct in saying that as they are built on the new 90nm(I think) process they may be quite overclockable
