hi there as the title says I'm looking to upgrade my pc but what would be the best things to upgrade?

so my build atm is:

sapphire hd 7850 2gb gddr5

i5-3570k 3.4ghz ivybridge

gigabyte z77x-d3h 1155 socket

sandisk extreme ssd 120gb

seagate barracuda 1tb 7200rpm

cooler master silent pro modular 700w psu

crucial ballistix sport 8gb (2x4) ddr3 1600mhz

I'm also looking to upgrade my case from the zalmna z9 to a corsair obsidian 750D.

i'd be grateful for any help :) thanks.

Hi and welcome.

Is your CPU overclocked? do you have an aftermarket cooler? what do you use this for?

cpu isn't overclocked i brought it with the intention of doing so but never have lol

Gaming mostly, i currently have 3 monitors hooked up to my 7850

no aftermarket cooler but i am looking at getting my system watercooled sometime in the near future

So if you got something like this - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-149-GI&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1010

It includes two free games and you can use both DVI and the HDMI on it - http://www.gigabyte.com/FileUpload/Features/3/Photo/4319.png?_=09193945

And same apply to the the other 970s.

You will also want to check your boards BIOS is up to date and flash it if it aint.
==================

These are also suitable,

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus Radeon R9 290X ROG Matrix 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (MATRIX-R9290X-4GD5) £249.95
1 x Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (R9290X-DC2-4GD5) £229.99
Total : £479.94 (includes shipping : Ex.VAT).

P.S you will certainly need to change your case to fit some of these inside as they are long.

The inputs on those monitors will be an issue. Since quite a few good cards have 3 display port outputs, but those BenQ monitors don't seem to take it. What is the total amount of money you'd be willing to spend on a graphics card (budget)? IMO, the best place to look is at the £200-£300 best bang for buck range. R9 290X and GTX970s in particular. Or if you're willing to spend more wait till June for the release of the 980ti/390x.

Here's a start:

Has 2 DVI and a HDMI. I'm sure you could make use of those.

Edit: Gah Stulid beat me to it again XD But it seems we agree on the 290X!

I do like free stuff ha

I was looking at the £250 range if it was a new gpu which is great as they fit the bill and the corsair 750d will fit the cards then I take it?

also the gtx 970 does that come with a backplate? I can't see the back in the pic's.

i'd prefer a black and red theme :P but i may leave that till my next full build i do from scratch lol

not to keen on that case but the cpu watercooling i may have to buy with the gtx :P

quick question if i was to build a pc now in a black and red theme would you be able to throw a build together?

say a budget of £1000-1200

wow that would look pretty damn nice just wish i had that money now xD

cheers for putting that together will have to come back when i do decide to do the build :)

but for now i think i'll just take the gtx 970 g1, cpu water cooler and the corsair 750d
