Dear Overclockers Community,
I am intending to purchase a new PC or upgrade my current one, but am a beginner to PB building etc.. My intended use would be to stream/record PS4 (and later PS5) gameplay and video editing (as well as general everyday use). My current setup is quite old (about 6 or 7 years old) and consists of the following:
Sapphire R9 270X TOXIC 2GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 1.5V Non-ECC Unbuffered
AsRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard
Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz SKT1155
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive (Primary)
Seagate Desktop ST3000DM001 internal hard drive 3TB (8.9 cm (3.5 inch), 7200rpm, 64MB cache, SATA III) (Secondary)
It still works well for general use (web browsing, microsoft office etc.), but it now struggles with video games and video editing. I have a budget of about £1500, but I can be a bit flexible on this. I was wondering if it would be worth upgrading some of the components, or would you suggest purchasing a brand new PC? If you suggest components, do you have any that you would recommend? Or if you suggest a new PC/build, is there anything that you would recommend for the budget? Anything that I would purchase or upgrade to would need to run Adobe Premier Pro smoothly, as well as be able to display 2 or 3 monitors simultaneously.
Thanks for your help.
