Hi guys,
I've built my current PC from 3 pc's that I had lying around the specs currently sit at:
Motherboard: GA-H61M-S2V-B3 (rev. 1.1)
CPU: i7 2600
GPU: Radeon (TM) RX 460 4GB
PSU: Some really bad one from an old pc I had, not sure what it is.
RAM: 16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
Right now I'm capped by my motherboard I think so I could do with upgrading that and going from there.
I play some games on my PC mainly and not much else other than that, the games I play are:
Rust
Rocket League
(Occasionally) CSGO
But I would like to keep my options open to potential upgrades on top, I have a massive corsair case (couldn't tell you which one, bad I know) so I have plenty of room options.
If I've left anything out let me know but I'm prob looking at essentially upgrading, Motherboard, PSU, CPU and my Ram to DDR4, I feel I can make do with my GPU for now and case etc.
This is my first post so let me know if I've posted this in the wrong place or anything else, but thanks for any suggestions or help!
I'm looking at spending around £400 if possible so nothing crazy but something that could maybe be worked with? Been told AMD is a good option and maybe the way to go!

First off welcome!

As you have a budget of £400 id look at just upgrading the following components:

CPU
MOTHERBOARD
RAM
PSU

What storage do you have in this PC? That could be something to consider if you dont have any large drives

Thanks for the speedy reply first of all!:D

So right now I have a 240GB SSD and 275 HDD or something around that, but i also have en external 1TB HDD so I think storage Is not an issue rn.

I'm, just finding that I can get average frames for the games I play on average settings but it would be nice to be able to get more frames and run things easier If I could! Obviously being in lockdown isn't helping Rn haha!

Well id consider getting a few parts second hand if you can bud, A nice step up would be Ryzen 2600, B450 motherboard, some DDR4 @ 3000mhz or higher and a decent 500w PSU (Bitfenix, Seasonic, superflower)

Others may have a different route but thats the way i'd consider :)

Thanks I will definitely look into that and come back with potential option (I'm relatively new to parts and building, although I know how to somewhat build a pc. Im an Electrician so basic knowledge is there kinda)
What would you say on the Ryzen 5 3600? My friend said right now there's no point in going lower than that for gaming.
Also I might go for a new case if i can squeeze a bit more if I can once I have my essentials :P (This is my case atm https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...-cube-case-black-cc-9011030-ww-ca-143-cs.html )

You could go for Ryzen 3600 which would be the ideal choice but cost will take you over £400... I have the 2600 at the moment and gaming is pretty solid. You have a very nice case, Keep it ;)

Oof do you think so? I've have a look at both and see what the difference is :D
I agree it's nice but when I'm working away I sometimes like to try and take my PC with me and this case is HUGE! (Although 10mbps internet speed is incredibly mind numbing compared to the 1gbps I have at home lol!)

So I did check out the PSU that you suggested and was wondering if there's any differences between the two

The Ryzen 3600 is around 15% faster than the 2600 so if you can fit it into your budget then go for it :)

You'd love an ITX build if you take the PC places :p You'll have to link Overclockers UK for the PSU as you can't link competitors so the links aren't working :)

Great I'll keep that in mind!
Yeah they're the mini PC's right?! I've seen them I think but not a fan of small Pc's im a sucker for the view :D

EVGA 500W 80 PLUS ATX Power Supply/PSU 100-W1-0500-K3

Seasonic Core Gold GC 500 500W 80+ Gold PSU/Power Supply

That's the name's of the two supplies I had linked to, Didn't know that oopsie my bad :P

Here you go:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £258.07 (includes shipping: £11.10)

You'll need to add a Ryzen 1600AF CPU (the AF is critical) from elsewhere, as it's a Ryzen 2600 for a much reduced price.

If you can push your budget, consider

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £458.06 (includes shipping: £11.10)

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS!
Honestly so grateful for the links the lazy person inside of me is over joyed! :D
It's definitely the processor that's going to be the pricey part :P

Yeah ITX builds are tiny but like you say, You can't beat the view inside of a larger case...

That EVGA PSU performance wise would do the job but only 3 years warranty, Seasonic offer a lot more, 7 Years! The PSU Quartz has linked is a great unit with 5 year warranty and a nice price tag :)

SO I went and bought pretty much everything I need just ordering a 500w seasonic psu in the next few mins!

I went with:

Radeon RX580 8GB

ASUS ROG STRIX b450-F Gaming motherboard

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU

Corsair vengeance LPX 3000MHz (2x8Gb) 16GB RAM

I think that's everything I've bought unless I've forgotten something lol
