Hey guys i have lost touch with the latest graphic cards out at the moment, but from a quick scan, in terms of performance i think i am looking at a 660ti.

But yes to sum it up, my graphic card is starting to struggle playing games on high settings now, so i am looking to spend 120-170 on a new one.

I have always used AMD but i am tempted to get nvidia this time round due to CUDA cores.
I want this card to last me into end of this year at least and i want to be able to play games at 1920x1080 on highest settings with at least 2xaa. i have a 3d capable monitor and i play games like Arma 2 / 3 which demand a lot of Vram, so a card with 3/4gb memory would be good.

Specs are in here http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2017909, i only own a single 5850 now and 8gig of ram.

If you want highest settings with 2XAA your going to need to spend a bit more i'd say.

I often disable AA or use FXAA and that's with a 680. Depends what you would call an acceptable framerate.

7950s can be had for a bit more.

I would say at least an HD7870LE/XT or an HD7950,GTX660TI or GTX670,as these would come closer to doubling the performance of your current card.

You also say,you want to have the card last until the end of the year. TBH,if I were you I would just wait another 3 to 6 months until the next generation cards are out,or you get a good deal on one of the cards I mentioned.

Moreover, with Arma 3,I would wait until it is released.

Arma 3 Alpha ran pretty well for me, but a friend of mine who has a 3570K and a 7950, when he gets to the helicopter part it tanked to about 20 fps. That wasn't with maxed out settings neither. Medium I believe.
