Looking to upgrade from a 8800GTX.

Hi,

I've not really kept up with all the latest graphics card technology recently, but feel my 8800GTX might be knocking on a bit. So, does anyone have any recommendations for a new graphics card please. Cost doesn't really matter, but I would like to see some noticable performance increase if possible, and I don't really want to have to think about upgrading anything else in my system just yet.

My current system: Asus P5K WS, Intel Q6600, 4gb RAM, XFX 8800GTX, Corsair HX 620W PSU. Also got a Dell 24" monitor so looking to do my gaming at 1920x1200.

I also noticed some of the latest cards seem to be PCI-E 2.0, will these cards run in my motherboard ok ?

I honestly have no idea if these can even work with my current PC

The BFG 280 GTX is only slightly less oced than the EVGA one your looking at.

It's much cheaper too.

The HD4870 X2 is the more capable card when optimised correctly, plus has DX10.1 for what it's worth.
The GTX 280 is better in Crysis, and doesn't rely on Crossfire/AFR optimisations.

So, take your pick .
