I have been using a Vantage for a little while now and have not been particularly impressed. It is a general PITA to work with- it beeps in the winter for about a minute when turning on because of the temperature, it makes a lot of noise as it has air trapped in it, it's noisy and does not keep the CPU as cool as I would like. Not to mention making me paranoid about the thing leaking after the noises it makes and the tubes being danger-close to a fan. Also once, one of the spring loaded screws holding it down popped of leaving a metal spring sitting on my GPU. Miraculously it did not cause any damage but the constant noises etc has made me lose a lot of faith in it and I want to change!
Question is, what do I get? I will get a good few quid selling the Vantage and would not like to spend much more than what I get from that. I am considering RMAing the Vantage to CoolIT due to the noises (I'm sure there is a lot more air trapped than there should be) and seeing if they will replace it with an Eco 240 for an extra £30. Thing is, I would probably be more happy with the 120mm Eco than the 120mm Vantage! I am considering sticking to these solutions as I am planning a move to a TJ07 soon and don't want to go for normal air cooling, but I am considering a nice heatsink so any suggestions would be nice!
