Looking to Upgrade GFX Card - Please Help! :)

Hi Everyone,

Not too long ago I built a computer with a £500-£600 budget and I was primarily going to be using it for work (as I am a teacher), but also be somewhat future-proof just in case the time came where I wanted to do something fun with it... That time has come.

I originally intended to use it just for work and I bought a cheap GFX card so that I could use my two monitors, however, I now want to buy a GFX card that isn't overly ridiculously expensive, but also allow me to play some up to date games. I believe that the rest of the components in my computer are okay (okay being the operative word), but my GFX card SUCKS (NVIDIA Geforce 210).

Whatever I choose to play, hopefully I can play in full 1080p at 60 fps with just upgrading my GFX. I am looking for no more than £150 for an upgrade if possible.

Here is a list of the CURRENT parts in my PC, I am mainly looking to upgrade my crappy GFX card:

I am not looking for a HUGE drastic change so that I can become PC GAMING LORD OF THE UNIVERSE *snort* - especially as funds are limited, but I am looking to be able to play most games comfortably and if not too expensive, perhaps future-proof my PC for a year (maybe two). Can anbyone recommend a decent graphics card around the £150 mark? I assume the other components are okay - I don't expect them all to be TOP OF THE RANGE, but I believe them to be quite decent?

Thank you so much for your help! :)

PSU will limit you to a GPU requiring a single 6/8-pin connector, unless I'm mistaken (and Corsair's website is too).

GTX 960 would fit the bill here and make a big improvement.

The CPU will hold you back in some modern games but you're going about upgrading in the right way with improving on GPU first.

Ahh, fantastic! Thank you so much for your help. :)

So, in regards to my PSU and CPU, would you recommend that I upgrade them also? Or just go straight to buying the GTX 960? :)
