Hi guys,

I was looking for some advise on the latest gaming mice available on the market just now.

Atm I am using the Logitech MX518, and it's been a great mouse, but I just wanted to know what other mice the PC gamers on here are using, to see of anyone can recommend me something else.

I've started playing CS:S again recently, and I've been having some troubles with the mouse sensitivity, I can't seem to find the sweet spot for this particular mouse, it's either to fast or to slow, so I can't enjoy the game properly.

Would buying a proper gaming surface make any difference to this, as I'm currently just using it on my desk, which has been fine in the past, it's only really been since I started playing CS:S that I've started noticing this sensitivity issues.

I would appreciate any advice you guys could give me regarding this query.

TIA

When picking a mouse, its each to their own tbh. I went from a Razer Deathadder 1800dpi, which was fantastic to an Logitech G500. One fantastic upgrade tbh, everything is so much better. Looks fantastic too :D G500 imo :D

+1 for the G500. Got it as a replacement for a borked G5. Though before shelling out on a new mouse, id try the current one on a mat. I used to use my G5 on the bare desk, noticed an improvement when moving onto a mat. Prior to that i also updated the firmware of the G5, which improved its performance on the bare desk surface a bit.

It is davy, few more extra butons and dpi setting increases from 2000 on G5-5700 on the G500. Glad i got it as it feels exactly like the G5 did.

Im not a fan of Logitech mice, which is odd as I love everything else they make - especially keyboards.

Roccat Kone or Coolermaster Sentinel have my eye. Ive only used the Sentinel and its superb but like the look of the Kone a lot.

Im currently using a Trust GXT14 though and its great for the money.
