Hey guys

I currently have an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.70 GHz, Gigabyte Aurus X470, 16gb Ram and a GTX 1060 6Gb with some SSDs.

Its mainly used for gaming, and some everyday use, but no streaming or anything like that.

My games library is vast from older less demanding games, however I've started to play games similar to rust, the forest, PUBG, stranded deep etc.

I've got a budget of around £600, but I'm unsure how best to spend that, any advice on what I could change, and to what?

Thanks, Matt.

Spend the £600 on a GPU then sell the GTX 1060 and use the cash to buy a 5600X.

I was originally going to suggest sticking with the PC until prices ease but I like this suggestion. Could probably get £100-150ish for the 1060. If you get an FE drop 3060 or 3060 Ti you'd be laughing, especially if you manage to get a 5600X to pair it with.

Used prices for the 1060 6gb are around £180-220 so almost covers the CPU then there will be the 2700X to sell after fitting the 5600X which should fetch another £120 ish.

Current rumours are that GPU prices are coming down and should continue, so unless you're desperate right now I think waiting is the best play. If you're at 1080p 60 that system should still be doing ok
