Well I've been reading about these 2nd generation CPU's from Intel, especially the i5 2500k. They seem to be the best processors out right now. I currently have a Packard Bell Ixtreme computer with:

As you can see the components are fairly out-dated and I do want to start playing high end games and watch HD content (aswell as video editing such as converting old 8MM tapes into HD format etc).

Money is an issue, I don't want to spend a lot on upgrading or buying a new computer. I guess my budget is around £500.

The components I've been looking to replace are the CPU/Processor/RAM and maybe a new graphics card and hard drive:

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-H67M-D2 Intel H67 Express Socket 1155 - £73
Processor - Intel CPU Core i5 2500 @ 3.3Ghz - £168
Memory - Corsair Memory XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz- £40
Hard Drive - Samsung 2TB Spinpoint F4 - £68
Video Card - Asus GeForce GTX 460 TOP 768MB - £113

Total - £462

Is it possible to replace those items in my current computer without any problems?

Is my current graphics card decent enough to play the latest game with high settings?

And is there anything cheaper/better value than the components I have now.

Many thanks in advance!

Specs look ok, assuming your not looking to overclock.

One thing you would need to check is the motherboard will fit in the old case.

Not really interested in overclocking.

I think the motherboard will fit, the case I have right now is fairly large.

So if I buy those components and get them installed, it should be ok or will I run into any problems because the motherboard/CPU/Memory are very new?
