Looking to upgrade my ram

Hello would anyone be able to help with what ram would be suitable for my hardware looking for about 16gig.
my pc specs:
windows 10 64bit
motherboard is asus msa97 r2.0 turbov evo
cpu is AMD fx6300 six core (water cooled)
ram is patriot ps000784 x2 4gig
gtx770
 
Are you wanting to go dual channel? 2x8GB
or quad channel 4x4GB?

You will want to be buying both sticks together in a set so both sticks will have been manufactured together and make sure the ones manufactured together will be running in dual channel. Let me know if I need to explain better

Not got a clue I just want to run arma3 better. Was also thinking of getting a gtx1050ti at a later date
 
basically...

2X8GB is dual channel which will give the RAM better performance then just 1x8GB stick. When using dual channel you want to make sure you buy a pack of 2x the chosen RAM stick as they should be manufactured in the same batch to make sure they are compatible with each other.

4X4GB would be even better for performance but would be more expensive and means you can't expand in the future.
 
Would you be able to list your PC specs please and I will see if there is anything else you can improve.

Could you also run Arma 3 and then open task manager while you are playing in the game and look under the memory tab post the image so we can see how much memory the game is using.

What exactly is happening when you are playing the game that causes you to want to upgrade? As it could well be a GPU issue rather than RAM/Memory. :)

hello sorry for late reply not sure how to post pictures but when I play arma3 I get about 77% mem used. My specs are
