Looking to upgrade on a small budget

I currently have a PC which I'm having all sorts of issues with so am looking to upgrade. My current PC I has an AMD Phenom II processor, 16GB RAM, 256GB Samsung Pro Evo SSD as well as a 4TB hard drive.

I don't want to spend too much money upgrading, around £250 is my budget. I can use my current RAM and hard disks in a new system. What would you recommend if you were in my shoes?

So you need new cpu, mob and gpu? Do you play games? what psu u have?

I currently have a Corsair CX600 power supply and a GTX 285 graphics card. I do play games but only now and then. I'm not sure what type of CPU or motherboard would suit the parts I already have with the budget I have.
