Hi all.
Looking to replace our Samsung UE55KS800 with something a little newer.
When watching stuff like the F1 in 4k on Sky Q the wheels of the cars have issues and appear to stutter / motion blur.
Currently looking at the LG OLED65BX or the Samsung QE65Q80T.
Anyone have any thoughts on these at all?
The Samsung is the cheaper option as it stands.

I've still got a ks8000 here, it's started developing a dim spot in the center where the LED lights must be dying or something otherwise a good TV still, but yea it's crap at motion handling: fast moving ball sports are not nice to watch on it

Luckily ours is still going strong, looking to move it into our bedroom so hopefully it lasts a few more years yet.

My elsdest son has pointed me in the direction of that site to.

Well it has all the information you need to make a decision.

It even has a comparison feature so you can directly compare the 2 TV's you have wrote about in your original post.

So you can see which TV does things better or worse.

I've never asked anyone for advice on TV's because rtings does that for you. In the past I did use hdtvtest and AVforums but rtings is far far better.

Personally I wouldn't change the KS8000 for either the 65BX or the Q80T. Yes they are better/newer, but more of a side step.

If you are changing it, I'd be looking more towards this years LG OLED.

When are they being real eased ? I have the same set but curved Ue55KS800 and the moment we exchange contract I’m going to order a LG OLED65CX5LB .

Are your really saying that these are comparable sets ?

If you can wait, I'd seriously consider this years LG OLED. If not, I hadn't appreciated both of the models mentioned above, and yours do 4k 120. Personally, I'd be reluctant to go from a KS8000 to a Q80. The jump is too small for me (maybe not others) in the real world.

The OLED is something else though. I'd wait, but the CX is a step up for sure.
