I'm a full time student and really interested in WCing so I have a few questions.
Once I've bought the rad, pump, blocks etc. if I were to get a new cpu and of gpu, would all I need to get would be new blocks? Then hook it all back up?

Could anyone recommend a decent set of radiators, a pump, a res and a block for a 3770K?

Also, would a 360 and 240 rad be enough for a CPU and 2 7950s?

Thanks for any help.

What case and what is your upper limit budget wise? Which version of the cards do you have?

The CPU block is fairly versatile and comes , generally speaking, with a range of current socket fittings.

The gpu block is dependent on if you get a full cover block, which is specific to a particular model.

Well I'm open to suggestions for a case. I'm running everything air cooled in a 630i case.
I'm mainly looking at the 800d or tj07 but the insides of the tj07 are throwing me off completely.
Not really sure how much things would add up to so setting a budget would be meaningless.

I have a gigabyte 7950.

How dare you say that about the TJ07! I completely agree, needs to be black in my opinion.

Ok is your 7950 reference have you checked it against the ekwb configurator? Just to make sure?

A 360 and a 240 would be fine for your system. Or I would suggest getting a nice thick 480 rad to place in the bottom of the case, if you can fit it in. Which will be enough for both cards in cf and CPU.

I would get 4x gentle typhoons, 2-3 metres of 7/16" xspc tubing.

Would you rather coloured fluid or tubing? Would you rather bay res or tube res?

I absolutely love the tj07. If it was all black I would have bought one ages ago, or if I could find a powder coating service in London that someone's used.
I guess I'll go with the 800d.
I'm taking I should go with ekwb for the 7950. I'll check tomorrow on their site.
Prefer anything but bay reservoirs. Tube or that block (sorry about the lack of terminology) one will do.
I heard some coloured tubing can cause problems so I'd probably go for coloured tubing.

What sort of pump should I be looking at?

I have this one in my build: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-001-TL&groupid=2180&catid=2182

This res: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-314-EK&groupid=962&catid=2133&subcat=2135

I have the old version in my build log.

As long as it is 1155 compatible any cpu waterblock will do. I would suggest this one:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-269-EK&groupid=962&catid=1519&subcat=2286

If you would rath go for piece of mind and get a kit with almost everything you need in it then that would be a simple way to do things.

Are going to use compressions or barbed fittings? (Barbs are cheaper- no performance difference)

Prefer the look of compressions. What size tubing should I be looking at?
Thanks for all the help btw.

No problem :)

2x per component in the loop: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-107-EK&groupid=962&catid=1529&subcat=1778

2-3 metres of any of these: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=962&catid=1530&subid=1775

I tend to get more than I need.

Don't forget fluid

If you get pure h20 then you will need a killcoil. If you get a mayhems colour premix you will be ok with just that

Alright. Thanks for much. I'll check them out in more detail tomorrow.
Do you reckon I'll be able to air cool for a while in the 800d? I'll get the case first but watercool about a month after

Hey man,
Ive found a site in the UK pretty easily who stock the TJ07 and can mod it before they ship it to me! Itll cost me £300+ but the case is so damn sexy.
They powder coat for £70 and can mod the top to allow a 360 rad. PM me if you wanna know the site!

Thanks mate, I know where already ;) I have not had the best customer service from them in all honesty.

Lol, neither are from Bolton and both are popular and receive good feedback! Damn I want this case bad. Gunna have to buy it.... £350 is a massive chunk. That could buy me my WC parts.... Oh well.

Hmmm... as long as you're happy it is expensive but worth it!

do you really need the additional 360? I would personally get the sleeker version of the mod which looks the same as the original just extended

Yeah I would, but I'm not sure if I can take it off and attach the acrylic. I'd give them a shout but they aren't replying to me.
