Looking to WC ... some recommendations and advice needed please

I have 2 volt modded 8800GTX's with D-Tek Fusion blocks. You DO NOT NEED FULL COVER BLOCKS. They are bling only and add un needed expense.

Hmmm ... re CPU blocks ... how come all the tests I have seen are not getting much lower CPU temps than my Tuniq tower (65 full load on both cores), I was expecting around 10 deg drop under load from WC the CPU compared to air ?

The EK block seems only 2-3 deg different to the Fusion, not really worth the price difference if thats the case ?

Or have I missed something ?

I was going to remove my fusion and fit my mcw30 but the fusion doesnt do a bad job at all and for now im going to leave it be

I fitted an HR03 to the Ultra and it cooled the GPU very nicely, but the vram with heatsinks was extremly hot to the touch, I will not be swayed on that point I want the full block

Back to CPU block:
So can anyone tell me why the reviews I read show the Fusion achieving not much better than 65 deg fully loaded ? Am I expecting too much of a temp difference ?

I see OcUK have the swiftech rads .... but do they sell barbs ?

I had a bit of spare cash this week, so the first part of my WC build has been ordered

One 12V Laing DDC-1T Pro w/ XSPC Top + 1/2" barbs on its way along with several stainless allen bolts and various rubber grommets for rad and pump fitment

Don't know when the next bits are coming lol ... but I think it will be the Rad and fans next ... that way I can see if the layout I am thinking of works how I invisage (and find out if the fans are any good)

Will do, but dunno how long til I have all the bits

Is there a particular way up the pump should be mounted ?
I was thinking of mounting it on the mobo tray so its sideways, with the exit pointing upwards to the case top (the hole directly above the rotor is the feed from res yes ?).
