Hi everyone im looking to upgrade my pc i mainly play Football Manager on my current set up but i would like the option to maybe play other games on my pc.My current set up is:-

Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. Z77-D3H
Intel Core i5 3570K
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3(i cant run this as dual core because one of the slots doesnt work)
ASUS VH222H (1920x1080@60Hz) monitor
OCZ ModXstream-Pro 500w psu
1tb Samsung HD

Im not that bothered about changing my graphics card at the moment but i was thinking of something along the lines of

Intel Core I5-6600K processor
Z170-Gaming K3 Intel Z170
Vengeance LED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit
PM951 256GB M.2 PCI-e 3.0 x 4 NVMe Solid State Drive

This would take me to the top end of my budget and i was wondering if its worth having an M.2 SSD or just stick to a normal SSD?
If anyone has any other suggestions i would be very grateful too hear them cheers

I was just thinking because one of the memory slots doesnt work the time was right for an upgrade and make it more upto date.Ive looked at replacement motherboards and the prices are unbelievable.
As for game im not sure to be honest on my console the last games i played were GTA and Batman since then nothing has really interested me.

New GPU, new SSD, job done. You might also consider overclocking the CPU, for which you would need a decent CPU cooler.

The biggest performance increase will be new gpu and ssd, what are your thoughts or are you set on cpu mobo upgrade ?

I was just thinking about doing a cpu and mobo upgrade because on my current mobo one of the dual channel memory slots doesnt work. When i looked at the secondhand prices for the same mobo they were as much as a new mobo.
I just thought get a more upto date CPU,Motherboard, more memory and and SSD/M.2 then at a later date upgrade the PSU and GPU.

But with a new mobo you need a new CPU and new RAM. That's a LOT more money. And you don't need a new mobo anyway. Your current mobo has 4 RAM slots anyway, so you can put 24 GB in there even with the failed slot. That's more than enough. You could spend a lot of money on a Z170 upgrade and you'd notice little difference. Or you could spend your money on a SSD and GPU and see a huge improvement. Add a good CPU cooler - Noctua DH or similar - and overclock and you'll notice even more of an improvement.

Ok i will go that route it makes sense ive got a budget of £600 so that should mean i can get all the components i want

Your psu only has 432w on the 12v rails but that is still more than enough. The 1070 is a extremely efficient gpu and so far I have only seen my pc (spec in siggy) pull a max of 240w at the wall while gaming (game dependant). The most I have seen it pull while benching is only just under 300w at the wall.
