Hi all. Well it looks like my enermax Liberty 620W has died. PC suddenly turned off last night. Now there's no power at all. Nothing. I'll try a few things but I reckon it's gone. Can anyone recommend a decent replacement. Preferably modular. Up to £80? I'm not over clocking by the way.

Looks good thanks. I'm gonna try it on another motherboard to see if I get anything. But I'm convinced it's dead. I hope its that and not my motherboard cos my windows 10 will be invalid if I have to change board.

Update: I've just tried the psu on an old motherboard kr7A raid to be exact. And straight away there was lights lit on the board and power. So it seems it's not my psu? It's my motherboard. What a headache. Means I'll have to get a new board and windows 10 won't work as its activated on this one.

I know this is going to sound outrageous but have you swapped out the kettle lead? I had the exact same scenario last week and thought to try a different kettle and turns out that ended up being the issue, might save you an arm and a leg for little effort.

Yeah I know what your saying always check the obvious first. I have tried a different lead and a brand new one. Just no power at all it seems to the board. Old motherboard powers up fine. Glad I had that to test it cos I was convinced it was the psu. The PC just turned itself off last night. I suspect my dodgy USB ports on the front of my case might have killed it. As I was previously messing with them. I'm gonna check warranty on the board I don't think I've had it long.

You sure about W10 not working? Not like you'll be using it on two systems as the same time.

You can always contact Microsoft if it doesn't work as I'm sure they'll understand your situation. Would be a bit silly if you had to buy Windows again every time a motherboard failed.

It's just what I've been reading on the forum here. That it's essentially an oem software upgrade from 8.1 to 10. I must say if that's the case I'll be mighty upset. It's a hassle anyway I'm gonna have to reinstall windows 8.1 then try upgrade to 10 and I don't think my key works anymore for 8.1? Oh what a hassle.
