Looping sound

Sometimes when a game or program crashes (mostly game) or even when it closes I get a looping sound over everything else I can fix it by restarting my PC but is there anyway to just restart my sound card instead of the PC.

Problems like this are generally linked to an unstable overclock or a gpu problem. Unlikely to be a problem with your sound card.

very much doubt that as its not a problem just a pain, it will ONLY happen when some games crash its rare but bloody annoying

Yes its a problem with cpu/ram/gpu instabilty.

I have no problems with any of those, I'll tell you what happened to make it loop this time.

Started eve client it prompted for an update, i click ok and download the update it then asks to install the update i click ok game closes and then sound loop.

Forgot to mention that I put and new mobo, cpu and ram in this kept everything else it was still doing it prior.

This happened to me with my 790 sli ultra motherboard, turns out it was utter crap, changed mobos and problem went away.

Used to happen to me on my old computer when using games made by valve, especially when trying to access menus and closing the game itself.

I think it's just bad coding somewhere on the software, nothing you can solve I don't think.

You could try running a few diagnostics to see if there are any errors coming from anywhere.
