Anyone else suffer what seems to be a loose lightening port on their iPhone7

Mine seems to drop in and out of charge if the cable is moved. Tired multiple cables, all similar. Tiny bit of freeplay at the connector too.

Sending it in to be looked at anyway, but I was just curious if it was common.

Could the port be full of fluff so the connector is not going in as far as it should? Have a poke with some stiff cardboard or something :]

I'm travelling and the nearest service centre is 6 hours away so have to book a courier which is a pain. Apple have been good though talking to them on the phone.

There's nothing in the port that can be seen, but then it's not designed to be cleaned or accessible.

Surely its worth a try, considering you're going to courier your phone. It always solved any charging/connection problems I've had in the past with all of the phones I've had, it's unlikely a piece of paper folded to a nice point is going to damage the port.

I had this exact problem on my 6, got some toothpicks in the end and wrapped some tissue round them to clean out the lightning port - never figured out what pocket was causing all the fluff though! Made such a difference, was like new afterwards.
