loosing the connection to the net. Any suggestions

Hi,
Can anyone pls help? I'm having problems with bt broadband. After a while it seems to loose the connection. Any ideas why it is doing this? If I reboot the laptop, the connection work ok again.

I use to have this on my laptop.
It use to say on for so long then go off.

How you connect to the Internet usb or what?
