Lord of the Rings II install help

I am trying to install Lord of the Rings II - The battle for Middle Earth but I get an error message saying:

'Can't transfer file D:\Support\en-us\readme.txt file from the media'.

I'm guessing the readme file isn't exactly an integral part of the game so is there a way to install the game without it? Or can I reaplce the file somehow with one that isn't corrupted?

DVD clean?
Try coping all the files from the dvd to the hard drive and install from there (if it will let you)

If you ever get it to install and if your on vista or win7 you mite need this to get it working
vista and win7 patch
