Does anyone still play lotro anymore?

considering reinstalling and giving it bash, wondering if it is still active or did it die off?

also i think im on snowbourne, my username is saucepan, and im a lvl 38 minstrel, any decent guilds you can recommend joining?

still has a very healthy following even after the conan release.

i think we lost maybe 5 members in total from our kinship, which is hardly the massive depopulation that people were talking about.

all the areas i have been too are still absolutely packed.

Loki

Lokion lvl 50 Minstrel

Lokio lvl 50 Hunter

United Kingdoms Kinship
Snowbourne

I play on evernight and i've noticed a decrease in population, not total like i was expecting, just noticeable. I no longer get messages saying they've decreased my graphics to help their server load.

Bk 13 just came out adding a whole new area, faction, quests etc. but no new end game content :( ) and bk 14 is planned for before Sep when the expansion (mines of Moria) is due.

We've had people defect from the Kin? I cannot understand it, I took one look at Conan and then returned it. It has nothing on LOTRO.

I played this for a month, and although i didnt really get into it, it was a very nice looking game. I saw potential but it never grabbed me.

Tempted to try an mmo again, i have this in my room, but i dont think i wanna spend money on it again :(

shame. Graphically it was a pleasure to look at. I think the fact that i had no decent friends on it hindered me

Almost exactly the same here, I had loads of help and advice from the ocuk guys playing, but it wasnt the same as having a friend play through with me. Im waiting for Warhammer Online now, gonna play it with my brother probably, definately looking foward to it.

I used to play on snowbourne up until very recently. I stopped because they changed the payment options, so taking a break for a bit, but when i was on it was very active and more people were joining when bk13 was introduced.

I'd recommend Snowbourne as well.

Try and do some of the books as they are the best bits of the game (IMHO) as the story is the main thing about the game.

The PvP is a bit boring for me as everyone just wants renown and it ends up in whoever has the most people rather than tactics most of the time.

I started bout a month ago, got to lvl 27 last night after completing book 2, not sure what the name of the server is but its the 1st on the list. :)
There are allways ppl looking for fellowship so its easy to find friends.
On monday night my kin leader got married (in-game) to one of our members, every couple of days we get together in kin house sparing and getting drunk so role-playing is realy good in our kin. :)
Havent yet tried the pvp so cant coment on that.
