Had a call from a friend earlier who is having problems with his wireless connection dropping out on his Vista Laptop.

Seems to work fine when initially turning the laptop on, but after about 15 mins, he loses all wireless connectivity and cant see his router or other nearby routers -it just says there are no networks available.

His wifes laptop works fine and the fact he cant see any network makes me think its not the router and the problem is local to his laptop.

If he plugs into the router with an RJ45, it obviously works.

Any ideas or things to try?

try changing the encryption on the router.
