Hey guys,

Really wierd problem,

I have recently re-installed windows, everything was fine until I installed the Intel drivers for my Gigabyte P35C DS3R and upon re-boot i have no usb! This means no keyboard or mouse.... :( any idea what the problem may be? Also I don't think the PS/2 is working either, but that could be a faulty mouse.

On boot up lights are on on both the keyboard and mouse, as soon as windows loads they go out and never come on again!

I hope someone can help :)

Greg

the loss of USB on installing recent Intel infs. is a known problem on several chipsets - iirc there is an MS knowledge base article about it.

I had exactly the same issue after installing the chipset drivers. Also after installing the driver i couldnt get all the cores on my CPU recognised either

In the end i had to reformat but didnt install them at all on the next install :)

Thanks guys, in the end i managed to find a PS/2 mouse which worked and I was able to uninstall the USB ports and reinstall them again. This solved the problem :)
