Lost 1 core on my i3 6100

Hi, I seem to have lost 1 core on my i3 6100. A bit sluggish and when I checked cpu-z and task manager it said 1 core and 2 threads. Any ideas?

Check if theres a core disabled in the bios.

No, everything seems ok in bios (asus 170-e v.1902). This happened when I was looking at allcpu and suddenly 2 bars just disappeared. This is a 8pack bundle, 10 months old.

Thats an old bios anyway, could try updating to a newer one.

Also Check: Msconfig > Boot > Advanced options for number of processors

msconfig gives me a choice of 1 or 2 processors. Could that be 1 physical and 1 logical processor?

That box should be unchecked.

Updated bios to 3007,no change. Ran Passmark, CPU score half of previous score. CPU or motherboard?

If yes, what results did you get?
