Lost all my files after system restore

Well basically when i shut down my pc last night, it managed to freeze whilst installing windows updates. I turned it off and rebooted it safe mode, and did a system restore to yesterday afternoon. However when i restarted the pc all my settings and files had disappeared, bar a few programs??

I cant seem to find anything to help? I noticed a pop up saying something about a temporary account, but it disappeared when i clicked on it, and im quite confused as to what is wrong!

Check your users folder on the system drive and see if your old account folder is in there.

This, it sounds like you are using a temporary profile as your main one has got corrupted somewhere along the way.

Ah yes, all my user files are still there.

How do i stop windows logging into the temp account?

Tried a few things from google but still booting the temp account

Well it did give me messages, but after i tried one of the fixes it stopped saying that

Thanks, however that hasn't worked either.

I think I'm going to wipe everything and just clean install windows, ive been having a few different problems lately that I can't fix.
