Earlier on today I scored 9444 on 3D Mark 11 now I get 9281

Earlier on today I scored 124.9 fps in Heaven @ 1080p default settings now I get 123.5

I cannot figure out how or why I lost approx 2% of performance nothing major but would like to get it back

If you was to do the test 10 times, it would never be the same. More programs in the background will hit performance also.

Yeah I understand that but I feel that 163 3D marks and 1.5 fps in Heaven suggest something more then simply the law of averages.

Silicon degradation?

Stop it you. :D

Are you running your card overclocked? Maybe the overclock is ever so slightly unstable resulting in a slight performance drop.

2%, that could be caused by a multitude of things.

I would not be concerned by it, unless the % kept getting worse.

Yeah I am not that bothered I mean its not going to be noticeable in games. The performance drop I got when the power control settings went back to 0 was much much more noticeable well in benchmarks anyway.

I have it set to 1150/1500 and it hasn't crashed on me yet. I ran BF3 for over 2 hours earlier on and it didn't crash.

lol just run 3D Mark 11 again scored 9279 this time, got 9281 last time and got 9444 earlier on today!

A difference of up to 50 3D Marks between each test is acceptable but to lose 163! I think not

Add one notch of voltage on to the core and memory, run the tests each twice and report back your highest score. Double check power slider is at +20% as well.

Restart computer and straight away (or as soon as every thing is loaded) run 3DMark. See if it is still lower.
