Lost approx 2% of performance in benchmarks

Turn PC off

Have a few beers, Heineken is good here(reaches parts other beers can not).

Turn on PC and run benchmarks.

benchmarks mean **** all, seriously.

they may tweak a driver to run faster in a particular game, but at the side effect of making your eyes bleed and at the expense of latencies and coherence.

smoothness of the game experience is all that matters.

I know 2% is not a lot and he should just get on with it but it would irk me if i couldn't explain the sudden slight drop in performance. Did you try what i suggested ?

The above benches are also showing small increases in the Heaven bench and 3dmark vantage, this is a case of swings and roundabouts.

Also once a system gets warm (for example from running lots of benches) it does not perform so well when running benches.

There are other factors which make a difference to scores like what other background things your CPU is doing like being connected to the internet, running anti virus software or dozens of other things. What this means is sometimes you get a very good score out of the blue and sometimes a not so good score.

Stop running benches and enjoy some gaming instead.

buy some 1600mhz memory,theres your lost 2%

or oc your existing memory, ohh and have you checked your running pcie-3 speeds?
