Yesterday my Sky broadband connection dropped out and I am still without it today. Phoned Sky yesterday but certain systems were down with them so could not move it up to the ' Customer Support Services. But someone would phone back later in the day when systems were back up and running or I was to phone back today, which I subsequently did.

Line serms fine, took front plate off the main phone socket and connected micro filter to the port inside, tried another router, reset router. Still no connection and perhaps five days to get sorted. Which will be pointless as I will be switching to Plusnet next Friday, obviously something I did not mention to Sky.

Current router is a Netgear Dgn 2200v3

Anything else I can try?

Edit: Should I still be able to access the router from a browser?

OK, have accessed an old router A Netgear DG834G V4 and I will not pretend to know what most of the setting are for I can usually input the correct ones for my connection. What is missing is the IP address, Gateway and Subnet Mask which is obviously where my issues lie.

Anything I can do/ check/test?

ring this number 03442410096, it is the 2nd level support and they will help you far more than tier 1 script jokers

Thanks mate, unfortunately with their systems being down most of yesterday they have a backlog.
Will try again tomorrow though.

so you rang that number? off out now so will find out later.. taking my son to lazer quest :)

Reset the 2200v3 and started the automatic set up but did not get far. On screen I am getting No DSL cable.

I have spares of nearly everything except micro filters and DLL Cables I through them out nit so very long ago. Not saying it is one of these items but by swapping them I would have at least have ruled them out. Damn.
