Lost downstream speed due to equipment problem, how to get back?

So over the last week or so, I had been struggling with some niggling router issues that took a while to get to the bottom of. Unfortunately as part of troubleshooting the issues, the router and modem were rebooted a number of times. It appears this has triggered the Exchange to believe the line had issues and has dropped the sync speed by nearly 1Mb (and on a 3Mb connection, it's noticable!).

Is there anything at all I can do to assist it with resyncing back to the faster speed, or is it just a matter of time and ensuring the modem stays synced as long as possible?

Cheers! :)

You could try giving your ISP a call or email and ask.
But this could result in a on and off connection period for a few days while they check for stability.

I believe it will take a few days for your profile to automatically change back to what it was. That's what happened to me when there was a problem with my exchange after they sorted it i was stuck on a 1mbit profile for a few days until it automatically sorted itself out.
