Lost is great, but could have been a lot better, just my opinion. far to many things were left unanswered and a lot of it was just filler.

I blame the writers strike, as with everything from that little tantrum they had most TV was ruined to some degree.

Island was the magical place where magical "heart of the island" was protected by a woman that later gave birth to two guys which then went onto represent good and evil.

All six seasons was "good" guys job interview for a successor. That's all that the show was about, about a magic dude on a magical island looking for a magic successor.

Flash forwards was irrelevant to the story, so was dharma initiative really, point of the show was succession, everything else was irrelevant "history" of the island.

Yep its just like the x-files there's an elaborate story/timeline we only see bits of it but that doesn't mean things aren't answered you just have to think a little and connect the dots rather than get everything spoon fed in a direct manner.

LOL.

I don't think spoiler tags are necessary for such an old show and such a long thread.

In fact, I think many people would prefer to look at the spoilers as most people don't understand what the hell actually happened, AFTER they'd seen the show.

The final episode was terrible. Almost as if somebody told the writers that they must end a 5 year show and come up with an ending in 10 minutes. And this, they did.
