Hi all,

In the recent transition to local current on Xbox Live, I appear to have completely lost my MS Points. I can't remember how much it was, maybe only around or something, but I don't have any money on my account now.

Has anyone else encountered this at all?

I can't even find where the value would be, it used to show MS Points on Xbox.com, but now it shows nothing:

Thanks

I've just been onto the MS billing site and I can see them there, it says I have 340 points (not as many as I thought), but obviously now I can't spend them. Maybe I just need to wait a while for it to show up as actual money on my account.

I hope this isn't the case! plenty of people will kick off if so...how can they make your money expire? that is BS...

Just read, and you get 1 year from the day you activate old point cards, oldest points get used first in transactions.

On xbox.com go to my account>Billing history and it should show your points next to the term "migrate" and you money in the top right blue bar.

Any MSP that were sitting in your account when it converted to local currency will expire on June 1st, 2015.

Any MSP points codes that are added after your account has transitioned will automatically be converted to local currency. This currency will expire one year from the date the Points are redeemed.

That must have been what I remember seeing.

Thanks, I can see them now. But I just tested by trying to buy an avatar item and it was asking me to confirm my credit card details. The value was less than the points I own (I think).

Ah well, I'm sure they'll get used eventually. Thanks all.

Xbox support on twitter said you can only spend them on the Xbox console at the moment. They are working to bring it to the web browser soon. Also once you make a purchase the remaining points change to real world currency, so I'm told.

Ahhhh, that makes sense. I was on Xbox.com. Thanks :)

You don't actually need to buy anything, you just need to try... as soon as you select something to buy it tells you it's about to convert your points to money - but it wont complete the purchase until you re-confirm after the conversion.

But I think there is a conspiracy against you... they've deleted the value out of your post too

^This. I went in to buy a XBLA title and it converted my 550 points to £4.67 I think. I didnt buy the game, but it done the conversion.

You should then receive an email from MS confirming the transition has taken place.
