Hey,

Got to work today and realised I didn't have my phone in my pocket.. ruh-roh. Hoping I've left it at home, but slightly paranoid that someone on the Tube pinched it

Is there an app I can install remotely to check the phone's GPS location? I know there are lots of apps that can do this, but I need one I can install through the Android Market website, which will run straight away.

Cheers,

Su

Unfortunately if you haven't already installed a 3rd party tracking solution before losing it you're stuffed with that phone. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can correct me however...

Theoretically you could install a tracking app from the android market as this would install remotely but I don't know the specifics of any of the tracking programs but I think it would need to be switched on or configured first.

Woohoo, it's at home, good call Zen!!

This app should be added to our OcUK Recommended Android Apps list (if such a thing exists!).

Cheers,

Su

Thought I lost my phone on the Tube this morning - started panicking! Installed this and got an email within minutes saying it was safely at home (GPS location). Highly recommended!
