lost my overclock

had my CPU running @ 3.2 using 1.36 v,400 x 8 but today pc cut out completely,wouldnt even post,had no picture on the screen and restarted itself after 5-6 seconds into reboot..managed to get it to load into windows vista ok.

anyone know why this might have happened?

The obvious one would be: Unstable overclock? :confused:

Did you stress test your overclock to make sure?

did you look everywhere for it? even under your bed? they're crafty buggers, really good at hiding.

maybe the cpu got hot and nipped to the fridge for an ice pop.

seriously if that ever happens again, get into bios as soon as you can and check the temperature, defiantly sounds like an overheat, possibly g.card overheating.

but if it started back up and was fine, maybe it was something silly like a piece of crud stuck int he cpu fan for a moment slowing it down, before the fan mashed it up
