I lost my payslip for the month of July and now have a query over what I was paid for that month- do payroll have any obligation to provide me with a new one? Can I even get one?

They have no obligation to provide you with a replacement copy, but I'd certainly imagine they will provide a copy (or a photocopy).

The employer will, in 99% of circumstances, provide you one without question.

Please note they have the right to charge an administration fee.

Alternatively

Make a request under the data protection act for a copy of the payslip. The employer is then obliged to hand it over. The employer must hold all employment records for a period of 3 years.

Only the total amount if that's all that's needed, not any expenses/OT etc!
