Lost on C4?

Trust me, get it on dvd, it will be a lot more bearable without annoying adverts and week long waits for episodes.

not yet it will be soon though as sky are only days behind the yanks now. Lost IMO is sort of losing it way at moment , prison break is/was good. Heroes is what i'm waiting for ;)

If you have Freeview then they'll probably farm it out to Sky Three within a year. I think that was the rough time frame for Battlestar (this was how I got in to BSG) and 24. But that is rather too long to for me, seeing as I am/was a complete Lost freak.

DVD looks to be the only viable answer unfortunately.

Lost has lost it a little in the last few episodes... mind you one of the episodes in this series so far was amazing... wont say what, but surely those that seen it will know.

Since then though the last 4episodes have kinda tailed off... hopefully they will revert back to the good one soon.

Still an awesome show.

Heroes is great too, only seen the first 3 episodes like

Indeed.

Edit: I was going to leave a smug comment here, but then decided it wouldn't prove the point I was going to make. :)

What something along the lines of how illegally downloading episodes just makes you so cool or something similar?

Unlikely as Sky are already making plans to pull out of Freeview entirely.
They aren't showing 24 on any Freeview channel, so it's unlikely they will ever air Lost either considering how much the rights cost them.
I've also got a feeling (sure I've read somewhere) that part of the deal of them winning the rights for 24 and Lost was that they didn't show them on any Free to Air channel.

There is enormous demand for such a service but no legal substitute.

It is all about convenience. You can watch the episode whenever you like, free of adverts, and they are also available to download in 720p/1080i HD format too.

Now until the television networks provide a legal substitute offering these things, I see no reason why people shouldn't be tempted. Credit to Sky for attempting this, but their offers are of ridiculously poor quality and, as a subscriber, you should not have to pay extra to download the episode when you could get it on your Sky Box.

I totally agree. People aren't illegally downloading because it's cool, they are illegally downloading for the convenience of being able to watch the show on demand, without adverts, as soon as it's aired. Until a legal service comes - as standard - with a Sky package then the illegal downloading will continue. This is definitely the way forward for television. Watch this space!
