Not surprising seeing as when they unveiled the game, especially this awesome boss battle a few weeks back, it was running on PC hardware.

Can't wait for this as I have PC version of Colonies Edition and it is a really fun game. The Co-Op play is a much needed addition as playing through the first game, you would think how much it could have helped.

i really didn't like lost planet, it was a really bad xbox port. Don;t think i'll waste my money this time.

What was bad about the PC port?

Exactly what I was thinking. Ok, the front end menus could have been a bit better (imo) but the game was solid, controls were spot on with kb/mouse, framerate was better, the res was higher and the effects were nicer with the DX10 version.

Don't know what more you'd want from a console port tbh.

What was bad about the PC port?

nothing really. its just cool nowdays to bash any pc game that appears on consoles as well. Lost planet was ported to the xbox360 and not the opposite. Capcom has stated many times that all their current generation games are made with PCs in mind and then ported to consoles. They said its easier that way. The reason for the delays of the pc versions of course is to "milk" the easily satisfied console crowd first.

The bad thing about console ports is that the controls in some games don't do what you want.

I spent some time waiting in gta iv on animations to finish or trying to get the character to do(target) the right thing or cover/run from cover properly, but it often cocks up. It's not designed for someone who keeps tuning his camera 180 deg constantly in a blink.

OR well, generally my observation is that console ports are slower games, need more timed perfection ( with the keys/mouse) to do what you want even if the action is slow, it has slower animations, slower camera rotation, autolock, and such things... I just miss the days around the gta vice city era. The controls of pc games were completely different then. I don't want to have to fiddle with timing buttons correctly or waiting for animations to finish just miss quick direct ''no nonsense'' responses to controls. Or well, more button bashing obedience. Rather than forgetting input until the animation is finished.

I wonder if it will be as **** poor as the first one. Ridiculous controls, lack of control customisation and crappy ported code? Can't wait.
