As far as I'm aware, I've never logged into GFWL on Lost Planet 2, and I'm going through all my GFWL games first, and playing them Co-op with a friend.

However, for whatever reason, Lost Planet 2's saying it's tied to a gamertag, I can't for the life of me see any gamer tag it's tied to (I mean, it's not like I have loads of gamertags lol, I had one I used for years when the Xbox 360 came around, and didn't use it for years, and then one I made for a free XBL Month to mess on with Halo, then I made a third to use as hotmail became Outlook and created it all for the Windows 8 ECO, so for all intents and purposes, this has been what I've been using)

Where's the cheapest place I can find a key? Or does anyone have a spare key kicking about?

When I log in on Steam, it gives me my GFWL key, I just can't log into a gamer tag with it.

I absolutely despise games that do that, to my knowledge there's only two ; Dirt 2 and Lost Planet 2 :(
 
Has the game been patched to remove GFWL though and had another online service such as steam put in its place? If not, you won't be able to coop on it anyway as GFWL has shut down.
 
The same happened to me with Dirt 3. I know which gamertag its registered to as I can see D3 in the achievements list. When I login, GFWL tells me its registered to a different gamertag.

I tried the GFWL support who could do nothing.

Best you can hope for is that the dev's patch out GFWL.

1.) The games hasn't been patched.
2.) GFWL hasn't shut down, it's rumoured to be July the 1st.

Unless it's shut down literally between me finishing Dead Rising 2 online on GFWL half an hour ago :p

Capcom don't look like they're patching older games.

GFWL is still going strong, in fact still no official response to the Joe public that it is shutting down. Although big game companies would not be removing it if they did not have inside information.
