Lost Planet Extreme Condition

Ive installed this on vista ultimate 32 and have the option to play both direct x 9 or 10 versions of the game. However none work. I get the background music as the game is starting but a black screen nothing else. Has anyone got any ideas or had the same problem?

what's your system's specs?

also have you got the latest patches and drivers

My system specs are:

E4400 overclocked to 3ghz with EVO120 Cooler
650w PSU
2gb DDR 800
250 Maxtor Sata 2
512mb 8500GT <------this will be getting changed very soon

I had downloaded the latest updates too.

I had a similar problem once after switching between dx9 and dx10 modes.
A reboot sorted it out.

Ive tried installing the latest updates and restarting, still no joy, yet it works fine in XP. Im a bit miffed about this at the moment as I really wanted to play this game. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Or should I just go back to XP?

Easy fix yes, but its a lot of hassle just to play one game, installing an OS again.

Have you Verify the integrity of the game files ??? (right click game in steam and choose properties)
