Sony accidently released the CGI teaser then pulled it but someone saved & uploaded! I love this series they are technically very good on PC (Lost Planet2 in DX11 still brings any system to its knees due to the heavy tessellation). PC will obviously be the only version worth buying & Capcom will no doubt optimise it a little for Nvidia 3D & SLi.

Love the series.

Brightly coloured, MASSIVE foes and hard as nails too.

I thought that sales were not as expected with LP2 though although technically, it was an AMAZING game.

I only hope they do not pander to the morons and remove what made the series good so far.

Was it you who posted the Lost Planet 2 thread with all the pics at launch?

Liked LP1 (still cant get passed the last boss) Lost interest in the second game, felt like I was playing a offline squad based game, with no/little storyline. Hope the 3rd wont be the same.
 
I only played LP1 back on the 360 and thought it was a superb game, if you ignored the WTFSTORYLINE?! aspect as the storyline was just warped beyond belief and the fact that your main character would fall over every 5 seconds.

I never did play LP2 though, it just looked 'wrong' from the screenshots I saw back in the day. Really should check it out.

I agree but nevermind in this new 10m gamespot video interview with the Capcom producers it shows some decent artwork & they confirm its SP story line based.

Capcom Japan are working flatout on Resident Evil6 & Dragons Dogma almost the entire company are on those so everything else is getting outsourced which means no MT Framework as Capcom do not allow 3rd parties acess to its secrets apparently! (If they can fit it in Dragons Dogma may still come to PC it looks amazing considering its running on the 360 using the very latest MT Framework it looks like a Skyrim PC beater on console :eek:)
 
Unreal Engine 3, Western developer (Spark Unlimited) and is apparently a prequel to the first game.

With Capcom's current track record of using Western developers and the games being either a hit or miss (e.g. Bionic Commando, Dead Rising 2, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, and the upcoming Devil May Cry reboot), I wonder where Lost Planet 3 will fall under.

I really enjoy the previous 2 games and so I hope this one is a decent attempt.

I can't imagine that being an issue, it's not like there's people playing it, I only want it for the single player and adding a game to my library :p

It is an issue people do still play the GFWL version as 360 players vs PC happens more than LP2 at times! LP2 SP campaign is slightly better though due to more variety & bigger/better boss battles.

If you buy the original LP1 it does not include the enhanced game engine either which supports newer multicore setups!! It hardly ever goes on sale though perhaps once a year your better off buying it now next sale is most likely xmas for this title.

I hope it is, I hope they don't do the same stupid thing as everyone else and water it down massively.

LP is an amazing series!

Edit: Jesus it's looking bad already :(
 
I quite like LP2, had on my PS3 - but some combination of PSN, my router and the phase of the moon meant multiplayer never worked, so I got stuck playing with bots and the AI was game breaking bad. Could never get past the train level.

Get it on pc they remade it and the ai is suposed to be a lot better.
