Lost power to a PCI-E cable.

Is this possible?
I have a Corsair 450w PSU for my spare PC and it was working fine about 2 weeks ago when i tested it to make sure everything worked before i put it into the case which was due to arrive a week from this point, i was not able to get it done straight away so it sat there boxed up and when i got round to building it up, i went to test it, and i get no display from the graphics card but the rest of the system powers up, fans spin, AIO pump works, lights on etc.

I have tested the Graphics card in my main computer and it powered up fine.

I can't be bothered to take my PSU out to test this pc as it took me ages to do my cable routing. I have purchased another from the MM so will test that when it get here, just curious. I know you can buy testers but i can't really afford to buy one as i'm pretty skint this month.

Can you lose power to just one cable on a PSU?

Yep, it shows it starting to post, i turned it off before it got into windows.

Interesting. Have you tried your PSU/another PSU apart from the Corsair 450W in the spare system? Just to rule out the board

Nope. I have purchased one to try. Should be here some time this week.

I would try that out to rule out the motherboard. It does sound like a power delivery issue though as the fans aren't spinning properly either.

My thought also, i'll try it when it comes, if nothing then i'll try the corsair with another motherboard i've got to see if that works. Then it will rule out both!
