LOTRO Beginner recommend race/class

The client always shows the name of the latest expansion as there is only one client for everyone.
Your actual account will determine what you have access to.

I don't think there is lvl cap for trial, only limitation appart for time are that you can't use Auction House, mail, send tells and trade with other players.

How is remorless being nerfed? I'm taking a break from Lotro atm. Hope they're not going to lower the damage on crits, however I do think it needs longer cooldown (i.e. 30sec). The attack itself is not "overpowered" at all. If you don't crit it does average/low damage.

Have you seen the fix list for champs in volume III? They are upgrading skills and legacies and generally making us how we were in SOA. They have actually been listening to feedback on the US forums.

Everytime this has happened in the past we have been nerfed at the next big update, i should imagine we would get reduced crit on remorseless, without crit mag legacy i can easily crit for 3000-3200.

This is unaccepable - we are champs.....we will get ze nerf stick soon whilst they make another class totally OP.
 
Jamrasta - nice to know, i left it on download last night with the hopes of playing a bit before work this morning but the installation was taking its time. Should be done so once i get home, i'll jump on Laurelin and us two noobs can kill some stuff together? Haha!
 
Yeah, I have some low level alts on Laurelin if any of you trialists want someone experienced to ride shotgun. I'm on most nights, post your char name and I'll keep an eye out for you.

Not tonight though, Inter v Chelsea eh. ;)

Hmmm, Overclockers LoTRO Kinship anyone? Show these carebears how we roll? :D
 
That's not a bad idea ;-) ive got a couple of alts going on atm after levelling my Hunter to 65, Using a champ but im drawn to the captain class too.
 
Any one know when Directx11 is hitting? They have till the end of March and there has been no word on it.
 
dont forget to post your server and names in this thread, makes it a lot easier to keep track of who is where OcUK Lotro Server/Names

Also, those new to the game may not be aware of the Monster Play which opens upto you at level 10 (Big red MONSTER PLAY button on character selection screen). Basically you choose a class and enter a PvP zone which involves questing, killing each other and taking Keeps/Strategic outposts. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's great fun and I personlly spend about 70% of my game time eating freeps :D
 
Hello Buddy,

I'd advise you to try a number of classes.

Champ/Hunter/RK are the main DPS classes IMO in LOTRO all have nice abilities with RK able to fill the role as healer as well (via Attunements).

Snowbourn is the bigger EU-English speaking Servers and yep as some say has some 'trolls' but these trolls do seem quiet these days (came from same kin :P). Its the one I play on :)

Laurelin is a Roleplay Server so is subject to a naming policy but has some wonderful people as well.

Anyway I'm Honvik in game some may know me around LOTRO.

Good Luck and enjoy the community it is far better then other games.
 
I'm waaay back in the names thread, so just to update, currently on Laurelin as :

Grimbriar, Grimbane, Grimthane or Caldir.

Yeah the box is very handy to have as the full client download can be very very slow as I found when misplaced one of my discs before Christmas :mad: Found it the other day though. :)
 
I have started playing this recently as a minstrel called Cozmo on Laurelin (currently level 11), and I'm really enjoying it.

Is it possible to get more than one spellbar up? I notice that when you open the inventory you can see another 3 spellbars but they don't stay on display when the inventory is closed even if they are populated.
