Read many differing opinions on the web so thought id ask you lot. Last night, playing lotro (about the fourth time), hadnt been playing that long - room was cold so not temp - and the screen went black. I could see floating names, buut that was about it. Restarted comp, logged back in and major corruption everywhere, the tree leaves were made of paper, everything was purple etc. you know the thing.

So the question is, is it the install, my card or the ram?

Graphics settings were on high, my card is a 256mb 88000 GTS, I have 3 gigs of ram. Any thoughts (and your experiences) appreciated.

Are you playing under DX9 or 10? I've run into the shadow corruption problem with DX10 shadows, but nothing as severe what you mention.

Never had anything like that, might be worth reinstalling the graphics driver and doing a full file check on the game.

One of my mates had the same problem. To cut a long story short pretty much everything else he played was fine yet with LoTRO it was corrupted. It turned out to be his Graphics Card - he sent it back and got a new one and no more problems.
