ive just purchased LOTRO, i am assuming that it works similiar to WOW in regards to guilds.

So does ocuk have a collective of players on there? what server etc?

Hiya

I think a lot of people from OcUK are over on Snowbourn. I've seen it mentioned on a few of the threads in the LOTRO thread. I'm on Snowbourn playing as Eecao. Give me a shout if you create a character on Snowbourn and you need any help :)

myself 'tega' and 'Ryssa' are both on snowbourn in a guild called 'Unseen Servants' and anyone from OcUK is welcome to join , just send us an ingame tell ... very casual mature guild with no strict rules

Read somewhere that you're only allowed to complete instances once. Is that true? If so I'm assuming theres going to be a lot of them then in order for higher level guys to stop getting bored

Id be the above mentioned Ryssa.

THere a great bunch of guys, friendly, helpfull and no pressure to get that phat lewt!

What are the instances like anyway? not been able to play at the mo as I've just moved house and I've not got my internet connection setup yet :( (Couple of screenies would be appreciated :) )

yeah do they require teamwork and a well planned group or can you just go at it like a bull in a china shop?

some instances take hours and require proper co-ordination and even a few attempts, also diff char classes are a must to complete them ... all great fun

Whats your opinion on this game guys? I have started WoW and am currently at level 18, but im finding it a bit boring just trying to level up. Im sure its great when you are in a guild, but mainly all of them are looking for level 70's. Before i start to pay for WoW (on the 30 day trial from retail), should i go for LOTR instead?
