Lotro Hitching Issues Vista 32bit

Hey guys i know there are plenty of Lord Of The Rings Online threads out there, but i think i need my own

Since open beta when i first played i have always had hitching issues, but that was expected as i was trying to play on the highest settings on my old pc! Started playing again on my new system which is starting to creek now (E6600 [email protected], 3gb ram, 4870 1gb, Vista 32bit) and im still getting the same issue? No matter if im playing on Ultra High or Low settings i always always get hitching in the out door areas?! In instances it's fine, but outside it's so annoying! I have a feeling it's a Vista 32bit issue as it seems like a major memory leak! I have read up on ways how to try and fix it, but none work! It's not a game breaking issue for me even though it is getting on my bloody nerves.

Any one else had this and managed to fix it?

maybe its related to the hilarious, and somewhat 'choice' comments in global chat (i cant repeat here) aimed at someone thinking 'Neoreloaded' was a suitable Roll-Play name on Laurelins RP server .. the mind boggles ...

Hitching is just very jumpy game play! Also after 30 minutes a GM contacted me and told me Neoreloaded was an unsuitable role play name so he changed it to Nethorandir!

I got that hitching thing too, although to be honest I never noticed it until someone here pointed it out. What I'm getting is a very slight pause every ten seconds or so, as if the graphics engine flakes out for a fraction of a second.

Yeah that's what it is! i don't know if slowing the game engine down in "Trouble Shooting" fixes it or what?

Ive been experiencing this after the last patch - stutter, but not that bad. theyre making some improvements with todays patch right? Any good?

*edit - mebbe not - 'Several changes have been made to address server performance and stability.' might do something...

I recall there being a thread about hitching on the official forums, I havent read it though as I dont have the hitching problem (I'm on vista32 too), but possibly it might be worth checking through that thread (if you havent already).

I am not sure if it is the same issue that I had which was not necessary hitching, but rather frame skipping. I could not find any solution online so dug into the config file and there should be a line there that caps the framerate. I can't remember what it was as I no longer have LOTRO installed. Limiting the framerate to my minimum frame rate completely sorted it out. Try it out and let us know if it works.
