is there a problem with the game running on Vista X64?

Just downloaded the trial client and the launcher just exits itself every single time when it tries to update.

Any idea?

Launcher won't work in admin mode. It says program can't work with admin privileges or something along that line lol.

Known issue - this is from the tech support forum

64 bit - admin rights are not automatically granted to the main account
and so the launcher will run, but there is an error in the installation in
that it doesn't give write access to the main user account - it opens the .dat
file for write, when it should only open it for read).
Solution - you need to set full access rights to the Lord of the Rings Online program folder for the main account.

Step by step process, courtesy Khazneh:
Click on Start
Click on Computer
Double click on C:
Double click on Program files (x86)
Right click on Codemasters
Click on Properties
Select the Security tab
Click on Edit
Click on Add
Enter your PC User Name
Click OK
Click on the tick box beside Full Control under the allow column
Click OK

The game updated fine, but when I tried connecting to a server, an error box pops out, but it is in french or something, I couldn't understand what it is.

And now everytime when the launcher loads tot he USERNAME/PASSWORD it exits itself again.

I decided to reinstall etc, but now everytime when the launcher tries to update, it keeps giving me this error - " HTTP 404, NOT FOUND "

Any idea?

there are a lot of random issues with the launcher, i tend to find once those are fixed the game is generally fine. its supposed to be stupidly slow under dx10, a 2900xt is just about fine with all options on max framerate wise in dx9, a 8800gtx is more than smooth with all settings at max, though sometimes some bits in bigger towns during peak times get hectic, as in, when theres dozens/hundreds of other players on screen. in dx10 though all cards are struggling, they aren't doing that well with it.

go to the errm, is it codemasters site, from the launcher you can click community or forums or something, you can get most of the support you need from there.
