well traction or stability isnt needed. abs i would probably want. steering would also be nice unless you live you life 1/4mile at a time. the leftest most one is start stop or parking sensenors maybe? start stop not working will save you starter motor and a battery later down the line so thats an upgrade. parking sensors are somewhat helpful, but are not required for driving/crashing unless at very low speeds anyway
 
I would guess at the steering angle sensor fault. Both the ABS and traction use that sensor. The start/stop will be disabled as there is a fault on the system.

Attempt to calibrate the angle sensor. Put the steering wheel straight ahead and switch off. Start the car, turn the steering fully to the left, hold for a second, than full right hand lock. Hold again, than back to the straight ahead position. Drive the car in a straight line a couple of meters. Normally have to do this after having the battery off.
I did have a MK5 golf in last week where the steering angle sensor had failed.

It's a stab in the dark without having the codes read. All these things are linked together and share data from various sensors, so a simple thing can cause problems for many systems. But there's literally thousands of things it could be.
 
I have seen this sort of thing with a dying battery.

Start/stop really kills battery's, and they are typically expensive too.

Over the years you will probably spend far more on replacing batteries than you would ever save in fuel.

Once the battery starts to die you get all sorts of random electrical issues.
 
Well I haven't drive the car for almost 2 weeks I reckon before yesterday and only went to sainsbury about 3 miles away. No lights on the way there but on the way back that's when I noticed it
 
Start stop only works if the battery charge is above a certain point. Short runs will not charge it enough for it to enable so you will get that error until the battery has enough charge. Nothing to worry about and will clear itself, but get used to it as it shows up every now and again. I have permanently disabled mine. However the other lights could be a wheel sensor faulty causing ASC and traction control to turn off.
 
Probably the battery. My Focus ST used to do weird stuff like that when the battery was low. Random stuff lit up, all except for the battery light :/
 
+1 For the battery suggestion.

This group of lights are almost there every time on 2004/5+ cars when the cars power has been lost for whatever reason. I have had this countless times and its been rarely related to the lights that actually show up on the dash. HTH
 
Funnily enough I've got a sort of similar issue on my 3 series at the moment. It throws up a stop/start warning after I've driven for a while and when I've just stopped. My thoughts are battery too which I checked with a multimeter yesterday and had a reading of 12.25v at idle. Not sure if that's low enough to trigger the warning but it is also 6 and a half years old and the car's done 147k so it's not done terribly if it is that.

Annoyingly the cheapest I can get a battery for is £175 and I can't even swap it out myself anyway because it needs registering with the car.
 
Sorry I meant 12.25v without the engine running. When the engine's running it was 14.4v ish if I remember rightly. Alternator's definitely ok as I do 100+ miles a day most of the time and it's been running fine even with the error and starting up perfectly every time.
